Hardware Product Manager
Few&Far are excited to exclusively partner with a mission-driven start-up in the sustainability space, working to make rivers cleaner and strengthen connections between local communities and their waterways.
They are looking to hire a Hardware Product Manager to drive their innovative water monitoring solutions forward.
Role Requirements:
* Translate business needs into a robust hardware roadmap, ensuring seamless design, supplier selection, and scalable production.
* Play a key role in shaping and managing the hardware lifecycle, working closely with design teams, supply chain partners, and operational stakeholders to deliver high-impact, low-maintenance monitoring solutions.
Essential Skills:
* Proven experience in hardware product management, particularly in industrial or environmental technology.
* Strong knowledge of monitoring technologies (e.g., sensors, telemetry, IoT integration).
* Experience managing supply chains and supplier relationships, ensuring scalable manufacturing.
* Ability to take design concepts to full-scale production, including validation and testing.
* Understanding of through-life product management - considering maintenance, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with the water industry supply chain and key regulatory frameworks (e.g., Ofwat, Defra, EA).
* Background in sustainability-focused hardware development and low-carbon product design.
* Exposure to predictive analytics and remote monitoring for in-service product performance.
Long-Term Role Goals:
* Lead the development of an ‘as-a-service’ hardware model, integrating data, software, and sustainability principles.
* Expand manufacturing capabilities to support European and global markets.
* Build strategic partnerships to enhance product capabilities and reach.
💰 Salary: £65,000 – £80,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
📍 Location: Remote (UK-based) with occasional travel
