Bourne Hall Museum is seeking a highly organised and knowledgeable Museum Curator to oversee our esteemed collection of artifacts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the meticulous storage and preservation of artifacts, conducting thorough research and cataloguing items within the collection, planning and organizing exhibitions, and maintaining comprehensive museum records. Key responsibilities include ensuring the proper storage and preservation of artifacts and collections, adhering to best practices in conservation. The curator will conduct detailed research and accurately catalogue items within the museum’s collection. They will develop, organise, and present engaging exhibitions and displays that highlight the museum’s collection. Maintaining meticulous records and archives of the museum’s holdings is essential. The curator will also coordinate and deliver educational programs and workshops to enhance public engagement. Additionally, they will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the delivery of corporate peer reviews. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience as a Museum Curator or in a similar role. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational and project management skills, the ability to work effectively within a diverse team, and a commitment to supporting Epsom and Ewell’s Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy.
