An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cabot in Kings Hill as a Project Manager. This is a hybrid role, or fully remote would be considered with occasional travel to Kings Hill.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide expert and professional Project Management to support the UK Product Transformation agenda, ensuring the continued successful development of our business in the future. From systems to data, products and business processes, this role will work at every level across our business, contributing to every stage of our change agenda.
Effectiveness in this role necessitates outstanding project and change management, communication and collaboration skills underpinned by an ability to understand and support the delivery of our business’ Transformation agenda and ongoing business deliveries.
Ability to define, plan and manage multiple workstreams, within a programme of work to deliver cross functional organisational improvements.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
1. Ensure the timely delivery and business integration of business changes and Products, including;
2. Ensuring delivery of projects and initiatives in line with business case benefits and expected timelines and, in the event of unavoidable issues, proactive escalation through line management.
3. Taking responsibility for stakeholder management through forming strong working relationships across multiple teams.
4. Defining project requirements, approach, scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with Senior Management and stakeholders.
5. Developing and maintaining full-scale project plans and associated communications plans/training documents;
6. Plan and track project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools and providing updates.
7. Plan project resource and scheduling to make the most efficient use of resources, including budget control and management.
8. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify, maintain and review the RAID ensuring risk is assessed and monitored on an ongoing basis and issues are escalated effectively and managed to resolution.
9. Coordinate activities and dependencies within and across the projects assigned through detailed project planning, identifying external dependencies on other activities within the wider programme, resource or environments.
10. Support system and user acceptance testing as required.
11. Ensure robust and effective governance to CCM standards, control and reporting is maintained for the project.
12. Close management of risks & issues that affect the delivery of assigned projects.
13. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
14. Deliver timely, accurate regular reporting to stakeholders, as agreed.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
1. Accreditation in, or demonstrable understanding of, a recognised project management methodology such as PRINCE2 and AGILE, whether it is APM, PMI, MSP etc.
2. Proven track record of delivery within a change orientated role.
3. Significant experience of working with multiple teams in a fast paced environment to successfully manage and deliver simultaneous projects and workstreams.
4. Excellent planning and project management skills.
5. Ability to communicate and influence at all levels and build relationships.
6. Commercially aware and possessing sound business acumen.
7. Change orientated and ability to make change happen.
8. Strong verbal communication and negotiating skills.
