HR Advisor/Recruiter
* Annual Salary: £30,000 - £33,000
* Location: Ripon (Travel to sites required; company electric car given for both personal and business use)

A well-established and growing local business is seeking a skilled HR Advisor/Recruiter to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet the organisation’s needs, while also providing expert HR advice and support. The successful candidate will manage a balanced workload, with duties split approximately 50/50 between recruitment and general HR responsibilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Collaborate with the Group HR Manager to maintain an up-to-date Recruitment Strategy that aligns with business goals.
* Work closely with hiring managers to create job descriptions and, where appropriate, job adverts to support business growth.
* Facilitate relationships with future talent and maintain talent pools for quick vacancy fulfilment.
* Support local careers fairs and other industry events to aid recruitment campaigns.
* Screen all incoming CVs, distribute them to the appropriate hiring manager with all relevant information, and provide feedback accordingly.
* Arrange interviews, provide guidance, and attend interviews as required.
* Keep all recruitment documentation up to date and issued in a timely manner.
* Negotiate offers to candidates or their agents and issue all required paperwork, completing any pre-employment checks.
* Manage the onboarding process for all new starters, including paperwork, right-to-work checks, setting up on HR systems, and notification to all relevant departments.
* Liaise with line managers on new starter inductions and training requirements and support with completing the probationary review meetings.
* Provide HR advisory services, including guidance on HR policies and procedures, employee relations issues, and compliance with employment law.
* Conduct investigations and support with attendance, disciplinary, grievance, capability meetings, and exit interviews.
* Develop and implement HR initiatives and systems that align with organisational objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience in recruitment or human resources.
* Proficiency in using HR systems and applicant tracking systems.
* Strong communication skills and effective relationship management.
* CIPD level 3 or above is highly desirable.
* In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
* Ability to handle HR issues sensitively and confidentially.
