Junior Orthopaedic Doctor at Milton Keynes Hospital Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will need to work closely with the current Consultant OrthopaedicSurgeons, Orthopaedic Middle Grades and multi-disciplinary team within the Orthopaedic department and with colleagues across the Trust.

The post holder will act as a junior grade doctor under supervision at all times. He/she willbe expected to assist in clinical audit and data collection and give presentations of casehistories as the need arises.
The Trauma & Orthopaedics senior team currently consists of 13 Orthopaedic Consultants, 4 Rheumatology Consultants and 1 Orthopaedic Associate Specialist. The above are supported by a 14-person middle grade tier, including 3 Oxford deanery trainees and a 9 person junior tier. We are a tight knit department with a very social and friendly atmosphere.
The programme will contain a mixture of clinical duties and on-call commitments (a full shift rota).
Job Outline
§ To become competent in history taking and examination.
§ To learn how to be able to manage the acutely ill patient.
§ To develop skills as a basic surgical trainee in theatre and outpatients using the Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum Project as a framework.
§ To become competent in communication skills with colleagues, staff and patients as well as documentation.
§ To be able to work as a member of a team and with other teams in a multi-disciplinary setting.
§ To be able to show professionalism during the delivery of the role that will support and enable good clinical care.
§ To become competent in the area of decision making and prioritising one’s workload, as well as demonstrating effective time management.
