Apetito is expanding its Public Relations team and is seeking a passionate Graduate PR Executive committed to building a career in PR within a dynamic, fast-moving programme of activity. You will enjoy strong personal development and learning with growing responsibility in this exciting area through joining apetito’s Graduate Development Programme. This role will provide key PR Executive support across a number of areas of PR activity that may include: Supporting our Business to Business (B2B) divisions across Healthcare, Care Homes and Education in delivering on a programme of PR activity Helping drive our Internal Communications programme apetito is the UK’s leading food supplier to the health and social care sectors serving more than 1,300 care homes, health care and education settings. Our meals are expertly crafted by our dietitians and chefs, and then frozen to lock in the goodness. Wiltshire Farm Foods, our sister company, is the UK’s largest ready meal supplier cooking and delivering over 330 different delicious frozen ready meals across the UK. This role is part of our 2 year graduate programme, during which you will have exposure to mentoring, leadership training and support to achieve your full potential. You will have opportunity to present to the executive team on your work. The aim of our programme is to train and develop graduates into future leadership roles. Support across apetito divisions: Providing day to day PR support to the apetito business units whilst working closely with Marketing, Content, Sales and Product Development Teams. Taking ownership of creation and management of forward feature schedules across trade magazines and content. Building relationships with our network of stakeholders and media Drafting trade / news media announcements and press releases and maximising coverage Preparing and updating PR plans and monitoring coverage secured against targets. Researching elements that may be relevant to the forward activity Media Monitoring Supporting any bespoke press launches and events and exhibitions Pulling together bi-weekly updates for distribution across the team. Liaison with Content team around case studies, photography, transcripts and briefing Supporting day to day requests Internal Communications Programme: Researching and creating content for internal newsletter – The Sauce Monitoring and uploading content to The Hub Supporting apetito’s Making a Real Difference Awards Updating Internal Notice boards Working closely with our Employer Brand marketing team Skills & Experience - Essential: Graduated or studying towards a degree in a relevant discipline, with an expectation that you will receive a 2:2 or above graduating on or before August 2025 Evidence of good writing skills and ability to deliver compelling content. Good communications skills to accompany clear thinking and vision. Excellent presentation skills Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Valid UK driving licence Skills & Experience - Desirable: Social media: Knowledge of social media and how to focus the right messaging into the right communities. Media – knowledge of media audiences and communities and digital platforms and how the media works Personal Qualities: Ability to work under own initiative Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines Good organisational skills – ability to manage numerous projects Empathy with the customers and markets that apetito serves and our “making a “real” difference mission Strong relationship builder Great team player Good influencing skills Primarily based in our Trowbridge Head Office, with nationwide travel and overnight stays for off-site meetings.
