Job title: CISS Packing Team Leader Job Description Department: CISS Packing Reports to: Supervisor Position summary: Responsible for the day-to-day management of the CISS Packing Operatives. Effectively managing the achievement of the daily plan. Main job functions: Leading, motivating and organising individual production line to ensure daily production targets are achieved Required to work continuously towards the departments KPI targets ensuring that all paperwork and electronic documents are completed in line with policy and at a high standard. Take ownership and drive operator ownership of Quality, Cost, Delivery and Development. Ensure delivery of product to the next stage of the process, escalate any issue that will affect the product quality or performance. Management of the staff in the process to ensure development, performance management, skill up and safety. Note: In addition to these functions, Employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required. Main duties/responsibilities Drive quality awareness to all levels by ensuring quality checks and inspections are completed correctly Manage product quality by ensuring compliance to quality procedures at all times, strive to improve product quality through effective mentoring of operators. Ensure all work instructions are adhered to at all times, via department systems and procedures based on internal ISO standard. To ensure all paperwork and reports are accurate and processed correctly. Ensure any issues potentially effecting product quality are identified to department manager, engineering and quality department. Ensure the achievement of the daily production plans, coordinating all line activities ensuring maximum levels of efficiency and output. Review daily manpower figures ensuring maximum efficiency of MHR. Ensure all DAS and rework activities are accurately documented and expedited on time, to include stock, DAS and PI are completed on time and accurately, driving reductions to minimize waste and reduce cost. Full utilization of the Engineering team to drive productivity and efficiency improvements. Review all issues relating to lost production and implement effective countermeasures to ensure maximum levels of efficiency and output are maintained. Ensure timely performance management of staff to include; appraisals (objectives and performance), return to work, disciplinary action, development, coaching and skill up. Ensuring training records are reviewed, updated monthly and maintained. Encourage and support Kaizen activities across your area to ensure Suggestions, SGAs and IQ teams are delivered. Ensure accurate stock management through effective PI’s. Ensure the maintenance and update of the time and attendance system to ensure actual recording of absence and overtime. Promoting a Health & Safety, quality focused and driven culture and to monitor your work area to ensure the workplace is safe and a ‘the 5s policy is maintained at all the times H&S representative that must attend monthly H&S meeting when on shift Regular reviews of Risk Assessments and ensure all new and existing staff are educated and made aware of the Risk assessments, work instructions and H&S requirements within your area. Qualifications Essential: GCSE Maths and English (A-C) Desirable: ILM Level 3 in Supervisor Management Experience required Essential: Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience of working to targets and ensuring your team meet targets Previous experience in a Leadership role Desirable: Ability to work in an accurate and methodical manner Experience of using MS office Previous SAP knowledge
