One of the UK’s leading providers of critical infrastructure for trade requires a SecOps Manager.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the operations activities of the Information Security team, ensuring high-quality protections are delivered to the business.
2. Administer, prioritize, monitor, and conduct business-as-usual Computer Security, Information Security, and Cyber Security activities aligned with technical and business strategies and industry best practices.
3. Assist the Information Security Lead in reviewing and improving the business’s Cyber Security posture to meet compliance standards and legislation.
4. Develop and support the DevSecOps practices within the Information Security team.
5. Manage relationships with security partners and participate in management and governance forums to promote cyber security best practices.
6. Deputise for the Information Security Lead, including responding to security incidents.
7. Maintain, review, and test security technologies such as antivirus, data encryption, identity, and cloud security measures.
8. Prepare reports on security status and support security audits and incident investigations.
9. Perform risk assessments and testing to identify and mitigate prime risks.
10. Maintain security procedures and relationships with external vendors.
11. Support disaster recovery planning and keep security knowledge current.
Qualifications and Skills
* Current industry-recognized security qualification (e.g., Microsoft certifications, CISMP, CEH).
* Security operations experience and a strong IT technical background.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team, meeting deadlines and budgets.
* Willingness to travel across ports and sites as needed.
* Experience of working in an infrastructure role with security tools (minimum 2 years).
* Knowledge of ISMS, NIS Regulations, GDPR, and ITIL.
* In-depth experience with MS cloud technologies such as Intune, Defender suite, Azure, and Entra.
Additional Details
This role offers a salary up to £65K + bonus + corporate package, with locations in Hull, Cardiff, London, or Southampton. It is a full-time, mid-senior level position within the Information Technology industry, focusing on transportation, logistics, supply chain, and media sectors.
