Chroma are currently working with a niche technology specialist who are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Worcestershire. Offering up to £55K with extensive training and development opportunities, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer looking for project work, or for a mid-level IT Infrastructure Engineer looking to take the next step in their career. This will be a fully on-site role to maximise collaboration and development capabilities.

The company itself is a growing technology specialist who primarily focus on systems design and implementation for the UKs infrastructure. Over the last 5 years their order intake has almost doubled, and they are continuing to expand. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will join a growing team who strive to make a tangible impact.
As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be involved in a wide range of activities encompassing BAU work, as well as internal and external project work. Responsibilities of the role include:
Deploying and maintaining IT infrastructure including VMware clusters, SANs, switches, firewalls
Designing and delivering IT and customer projects, including new IT service deployments and providing routine maintenance
Managing 2nd and 3rd line IT infrastructure incidents and problems via our Jira-based ITSM
Creating and maintaining technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and providing end-user training to enhance productivity
Essential Skills/Experience Required:
At least 2 years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer
Windows Server expertise
Virtualisation experience (at least 1 year)
Process documentation experience
Networking knowledge/experience
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Customer facing experience
Scripting experience (PowerShell or similar)
IT infrastructure certifications (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, VMware Certified Professional)
