As a Radiology Assistant at our hospital, you'll show us you're able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or hold an appropriate healthcare degree. You'll be highly motivated, friendly and a professional Radiology Assistant, ready to join the team in our busy department. As a Radiology Assistant, you will: Put patient care first Carry out administrative duties Enjoy time to get to know the people who are our patients Meet the needs of every individual Use your organisational skills to make a positive impact and experience Have the ability to work within the team whilst also being able to use your own initiative and work independently during the day The day-to-day duties will involve monitoring of clinic lists and running our busy Ultrasound service, supporting our busy MRI service and aiding and assisting Radiographers and Radiology Administrators throughout the department. Thorough training will be offered in all areas and this will equip you with the skills to work independently in the service, whilst always having a Radiographer and/or another Radiology Assistant on hand if required. The department provides Radiography services to the hospital which has 42 in-patient beds, three operating theatres, a large out-patient department and we also provide services for GP's and physiotherapists within the surrounding region. We are proud to have multi-disciplinary team which is committed to delivering high quality diagnostic imaging and high levels of patient care through a range of radiographic procedures. We have a team of responsive Radiographers in the department who are supported by a friendly team of Radiologists and an dedicated admin team. You should be able to demonstrate a proven clinical experience and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, good computer literacy with flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business.
