The Deputy Directorate Manager will support the Directorate Manager who in conjunction with theClinical Director, Matrons and Head of Cardiac Physiology are responsible the operational management of services. The post holder will be expected to work across organisational boundaries to make a positive contribution to the Trusts corporate objectives and contribute to shaping the future healthcare across the local economy. The post holder will provide senior leadership supporting the Directorate to maintain financial balance, the development and implementation of service improvements and engaging with teams to ensure best quality care is provided. The post holder will: Support the Directorate Manager and the Clinical Director to determine the strategic direction for the Directorates, identifying future resourcing requirements and ensuring that the Directorate meets contractual and other operational requirements. Ensure the Clinical Directorate delivers on the range of national and locally defined access targets and that patients are able to access services delivered in a timely way. Support the delivery of financial balance across the Clinical Directorate through active and regular monitoring and management of expenditure. Monitor and take action to ensure that all quality, productivity and profitability targets are achieved. In line with Clinical Directorate and Trust strategy, develop best practice, service modernisation and improvement plans for the area, to enhance the patient experience and deliver value for money.
