Social Media Executive
We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Executive to join our dynamic marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our social media platforms, creating engaging content, and driving brand awareness and engagement across multiple channels. You will work closely with the Social Media Manager to execute the social media strategy and contribute to the overall marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Editing:
* Collaborate with the organic social, photography, and videography teams to conceptualize, create, and edit engaging video content for various platforms, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and more.
* Take the lead in generating innovative and trend-driven video ideas
* Staying ahead of emerging trends and platform-specific formats to ensure content remains fresh and relevant.
* Support the team at photoshoots with ideas, assistance, organising and any other requirements.
Data & Reporting:
* Pull and analyse performance data for weekly reporting spreadsheets.
Social Email Management:
* Manage the social@myoddballs.com email, handling content submissions and gift requests.
* Process simple charity gifting requests and escalate complex ones to the wider team.
* Respond to sponsorship requests and forward custom product inquiries to the partnerships team.
Content & Creator Engagement:
* Collaborate with the wider social team on content creator correspondence and requests.
* Support the team in finding content creators, managing outreach, gifting, and follow-ups for content/campaigns.
Social Media Management:
* Assist in moderating and responding to comments and messages on social platforms when required.
* Help create and schedule content for social platforms.
* Manage secondary platforms such as Twitter/X, Instagram, and Facebook stories, including competitions and brand engagement.
One-Off Campaigns:
* Execute gifting campaigns aimed at social media content creation.
The successful candidates’ skills & qualifications
* A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
* Proven experience in social media management or a similar role.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
* Proficient in social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.).
* Creative mindset with the ability to generate original content ideas.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Experience with social media advertising (paid campaigns) is a plus.
* Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies is desirable.
* Experience in photography or graphic design is advantageous.
* Familiarity with video editing tools or content creation apps.

Place of work
* This role is based at our office on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate in North Shields.
* Hybrid, 1 day per week from home.
Working hours
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
* 8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. Monday – Thursday
* 8.30 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. on Fridays
Weekend Work: Required 2-3 weekends a month, based on the needs of the wider team. Time off during the week will be given in lieu.
