We are looking for support workers who are keen and enthusiastic to work within the childcare sector and are looking for career progression. We as a provider are dedicated to motivating, developing, creating opportunities, and enhancing life skills for children and young people to allow positive outcomes in a homely environment.
Your role will be to ensure the day-to-day running of the home and the delivery of the day-to-day care for the children we look after. In your role, you will be working directly with the children and young people in the home and assisting your colleagues in meeting the quality of care standards set out by the Children's Home Regulation 2015 and working in line with the company's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Taking an active part in the day-to-day running of the home
2. Being an active member of the residential care staff team for the home
3. Maintaining the development of positive childcare practices in line with the aims and objectives of the home
4. Providing a safe, caring, warm, and supportive environment for our children and young people
5. Being involved in the implementation of care plans
6. Keeping up-to-date records in the home and completing reports
7. Conducting yourself within the guidelines of the establishment
8. Promoting and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the home
9. Participating in general activities in the home
10. Using your personal skills and strengths to maximize outcomes for each child and young person
11. Building trusting and professional relationships with the children and young people
12. Working in partnership with social workers and other professionals
13. Ensuring and monitoring the health and safety of the home
14. Responding to safeguarding concerns and reporting directly to the home manager
