We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Shift Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Risley, a category C prison located in the Risley area of Warrington.
This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. HMP Risley has an operational capacity of around 1100 inmates, and is a 20 minute drive from Warrington, and 30 minutes from Wigan.
Hours:
This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week, and you will be working night shifts. The hours are 20:30 - 07:30, and the team currently work a rota of 7 shifts on, 7 shifts off.
Salary:
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary of £24,669 - £28,690 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times
Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods etc
Respond to emergency situations as needed
Work holistically with your patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy etc
Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback

Our new Healthcare Assistant will:
Hold a NVQ Level 2 / 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent
Have experience within a healthcare setting - hospital, community or secure setting
Any experience in primary care or inpatients would be a bonus!
