Location: Headquarters, Northallerton Salary: Scale 3/4 (£24,222 - £28,653) Contract: Permanent / Full Time North Yorkshire Police are seeking a committed and self-motivated individual to join the PNC (Police National Computer) Records team based in Northallerton as PNC Records Officers. Duties primarily relate to the creation, management and disclosure of PNC data resulting from instances of arrest and conviction. All aspects of the role require an excellent eye for detail to ensure errors are avoided, with any discrepancies being identified and addressed at the earliest opportunity. There is a need to liaise frequently with colleagues and external contacts to clarify information and ensure the PNC is updated with accurate data. PNC Records Officers operate and interrogate other national, local and departmental record keeping systems in accordance with local procedures to identify work required and to resolve any discrepancies. This is a challenging but rewarding role, suited to someone with excellent IT skills, sound decision making skills, and excellent team working skills. To be successful you will also: Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, Be able to input data with accuracy and attention to detail. Be able to work flexibly and confidently on own initiative and as part of a team to meet deadlines. Have excellent planning and organising skills, with ability to manage competing and frequently changing priorities.
