The Role Job Title: Senior Support Worker Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shift Pattern: Shifts covering Monday to Sunday, 4:00pm to 1:00am We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join our Safe Haven service in Chesterfield. We provide an out of hours community wellbeing resource where people can access support during a mental health crisis, preventing escalation of mental health problems. An alternative for people with (or developing) mental health needs, particularly where they may have otherwise attended Emergency Departments. This service supports people to develop the necessary skills to cope with a future crisis. The Safe Haven provides a safe, supportive and friendly environment helping individuals in their recovery through promotion of self‐empowerment and independence. In the absence of a Service Manager, you will deputise and be a point of contact for the team, other professionals and commissioners. You will work closely with support workers to review and offer guidance regarding interventions and support for people struggling with their mental health and accessing our service. You will also provide face to face support to people who attend P3’s Safe Haven Service in Chesterfield. This will include discussion of non-clinical interventions which are aimed at helping people to manage their wellbeing both during their time at the service and after they return home. This role involves liaison with mental health professionals regarding clinical interventions, escalation of support needs, admissions and discharges.
