Nexos are looking for a Graduate Instrument & Control Engineer to join our Aberdeen team on a permanent basis.
You'll be following a dedicated graduate training scheme to develop the skills and expertise needed to execute instrument & control engineering activities. Under the supervision of senior team members, you will play a key role in maintaining technical quality within budget and schedule while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic engineering environment.
As part of your development, you will work closely with senior engineers, assisting in engineering activities and contributing to working practices, systems, and discipline efficiency methods. You will be involved in project planning, progress updates, and cost control, ensuring assigned work remains compliant with agreed budgets and schedules. Your role will also include supporting project scope and schedule changes, preparing estimates and schedules, and ensuring design compliance with industry standards, regulations, and procedures.
Communication and collaboration are key, as you will engage with clients, project management teams, and multi-discipline teams, gaining exposure to inter-discipline coordination and digital work processes. You will also assist in document filing and electronic approvals, contribute to competency assessments and reviews, and provide support to assigned discipline personnel. Throughout the training scheme, you will gain a strong understanding of engineering processes and procedures, maintaining an open dialogue with senior engineers to highlight any issues or concerns.

Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
* Degree, C.Eng accredited by appropriate engineering institute/UK bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in appropriate Engineering subject (Instrumentation).
* Graduate member of appropriate engineering institution.
* Ability to develop an awareness of applicable codes, practices, standards and statutory documentation.
* Ability to develop an awareness of aspects to discipline design and use of Analytical methods including theoretic background.
* Able to use design and assessment methods, under supervision.
* Able to self-identify training and education opportunities.
* Active engagement and participation within a single discipline team of engineers & designers.
Desirable:
* Offshore mandatory certification (BOSIET, MIST, Medical, etc.)
