Grade: Academy Support Staff Grade 12 - 17 Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 37 Working Pattern: Term time only Actual Salary: 23,943 - 25,972 Interview Date: W/C 31 st March 2025 We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and wonderful team at Bamford Academy, part of Altus Education Partnership. About the role The successful candidate will be a member of the school Attendance Team, promoting good attendance at school, as well as providing pastoral care and support throughout our school. The role will include communicating with parents/carers, staff and working with pupils of all ages via 1:1 and group work and will also include First Aid and Safeguarding duties. The role has additional hours included to allow for administrative duties and as additional support for our Early Adopters Breakfast Club. The successful candidate will be expected to start work at 7:30am. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Monitor and analyse pupil s punctuality and attendance, working with pupils and families regarding attendance: phoning, meeting, monitoring attendance data, recording absence and reasons. Meet with parents regarding attendance concerns, identifying barriers and creating action plans to improve Attend regular meetings with the Attendance Team in school and termly meetings with the LA EWO, sharing monitoring and evidence data relating to attendance of pupils. Instigate, lead and/or support Early Help processes. Attend/lead meetings for Team Around the Family cases. Attend relevant case conferences. To be proactive and inclusive in identifying and supporting the needs of vulnerable children and families with information, advice and guidance. To signpost parents and children to services as and when appropriate. To support hard to reach families in accessing the school and other services. To complete Early Help/TAF paperwork and other paperwork/reports. To complete EHASH referrals under the guidance of SLT To provide guidance and wellbeing support, both one-to-one, small group or in class for those children identified with needs that may be affecting their learning and progress.
