Instrumentation Engineer

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to support a major carbon capture and storage project, contributing to the UK’s net-zero targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and optimise instrumentation design, ensuring compliance with safety and contractual requirements.
* Prepare technical specifications, data sheets, and engineering documentation.
* Support vendor selection, reviewing control valve, safety valve, and measurement element sizing calculations.
* Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring integration of 3D modelling and P&ID mechanisation.
* Provide technical support to project and construction teams.
* Oversee subcontracted engineering activities and ensure quality assurance.
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified engineer with significant onshore instrumentation experience.
* Strong expertise in preparing BOQs, MTOs, and installation specifications.
* Proven ability to manage cost estimates and vendor documentation.
