You will join us on a full -t ime, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £12.44 per hour. (22,706 FTE per annum). As the Retail & Café Deputy Manager, you will help lead with the manager a passionate team of staff and volunteers who work hard to deliver outstanding customer service in Leicester Royal Infirmary. The key is to adapt your approach to each person to ensure their needs are met. In this busy role, you will: Delivery of exceptional shop/café standards and friendly, helpful and efficient customer service levels in the sites Assist the Retail manager in the achievement of sales budgets and cost control Compliance of all statutory standards policies and procedures including Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Data Protection, Stock Control and other operating policies and procedures Cascade regular communication and dealing with employee/volunteer issues as they occur Deliver coaching, mentoring and training to the team in order to ensure compliance with Royal Voluntary Service Policies and Procedures and the delivery of operational excellence Co-ordinate the provision of volunteers and employees to meet the operational requirements through resource planning and to support the recruitment of volunteers In the absence of the Retail Manager takes responsibility for the management of the shop/café(s) Able to work flexible hours to fit with the trading hours of the sites Hours: 35 a week This is a permanent, full-time role, working 35 hours per week, five shifts out of seven. Shifts are allocated on a rota basis, with hours between 06:30am – 8:00pm.
