Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant include:
* Gather and compile cost information from various departments.
* Monitor and record daily expenses and cost transactions.
* Analyse cost data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends.
* Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and valuations.
* Support in preparing and reviewing budget reports.
* Assist in generating regular cost reports for management review.
* Help in allocating costs to different departments or projects accurately.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
* Provide support to senior accountants in various accounting tasks and projects.
* Facilitating payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
* Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
* Proven working experience as Accounts Assistant.
* Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
* Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
