+ Provide direct nursing care to a caseload of patients during you shift, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained and provide supervision to junior staff and students on the ward
+ To work as a registered nurse within a team responsible to the team leader / shift coordinator caring for patients and their carer's
+ To fully utilise the learning opportunities available. You will gain an understanding of the physiological, psycho-social, spiritual and cultural needs of the patients and their carer's and to develop a broad spectrum of clinical proficiency to deliver nursing care

Templer Ward is a 30 bedded ward within Newton Abbot Community Hospital.
We offer you of the chance to work within a Multi-Disciplinary team to provide ongoing care to patients following an acute illness. 20 beds are dedicated to specialist stroke/neuro rehabilitation
You will be supported to develop within your role with a continuing professional development competency profile, access to in house and external training as well as clinical supervision.
