Job Title: KS3 SEMH Outreach Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Brightlingsea Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: 1. Provide tailored educational support to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. 2. Develop and deliver engaging and effective outreach tutoring sessions to help students achieve their academic goals. 3. Collaborate with schools, parents, and other stakeholders to create individualised learning plans for each student. 4. Monitor progress, assess learning needs, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. 5. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and feedback to track improvements. Required Qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Specialism in supporting students with SEMH needs - Enhanced DBS check Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: Previous experience working with Key Stage 3 students with SEMH needs Knowledge and Skills: - Strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to tailor teaching methods to suit individual student needs Preferred Qualifications: - Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) - Experience in delivering outreach support in educational settings Working Conditions: - Part-Time hours, flexible schedule - Work primarily in a learners home or outreach setting - Close collaboration with school staff, parents, and external agencies - Opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational and personal development All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
