Veterinary Surgeon - No OOHs, Limited Saturdays, and a 4-Day Week!

About Us
This Veterinary Centre has a rich history and is situated in one of the most picturesque parts of Hertfordshire. A very proactive veterinary practice serving a loyal client base since the 90's, they are proud to hold RCVS accreditation and have achieved Silver Cat Friendly Status from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).
They are a 5-vet practice (4 full-time equivalent) supported by a highly skilled and enthusiastic nursing team who are encouraged to fully utilise their talents. The facility is well-equipped, with ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, capnography, and a tonovet.
About the Role
I am looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with routine procedures and consultations. Your role will include a varied caseload of both consults and surgeries, with time allocated for essential admin tasks. A practice that prides themselves on delivering the highest standard of care to clients, with 15-minute routine appointments and 30-minute slots for complex cases. They also schedule same-day 30-minute appointments for emergencies.
The Rota
* Full-time: 40 hours per week over 4 days, with a fixed day off (option for 5 shorter days if preferred)
* 1:6 Fridays off for full-time vets
* Saturday mornings: Currently 1:5, max 1:4 (potentially 1:6 with a larger team)
* No out-of-hours
* Part-time hours considered for the right candidate

Must haves
* Degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVSc/BVM/BVS or equivalent) from an accredited institution
* Membership with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in the UK (or equivalent governing body in other countries)
* Practical clinical experience through internships, placements, or work experience
* Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
* Proficiency in routine surgical and medical procedures
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
* Ability to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of animal health conditions
* CPD (Continuing Professional Development) commitment to maintain skills and knowledge
* Ability to work well in high-pressure environments and make critical decisions
* Competency in using veterinary practice management software and diagnostic tools
