Overview of the role
To ensure quality product is manufactured adhering to GMP standards, regulations and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
* Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies, procedures and programs that enhance overall effectiveness of the operating unit.
* Ensures efficient use of human resources, by regularly monitoring work activities, setting performance expectations, and measuring results, and providing feedback to employees daily.
* Maintains focus on high safety performance, high quality performance, and high productivity performance.
* Ensures equipment is ready for use before processing or cleaned or calibrated. Emphasis on efficient use and scheduling of shared use equipment.
* Assists in troubleshooting and problem-solving when process or personnel issues arise; ensures timely resolution.
* Release unlicensed specials products for sale to customers.
* Ensure strict compliance GMP regulations
* Work with quality team on all relevant matters.
* Ensure staff receive initial continued training on required SOPS.
* Assist with complaints.
Key knowledge and skills required:
* 2 years GMP experience
* Analytical laboratory and experience desirable
* 5 years’ formulation experience preferred but not essential
