About the role
The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Purchasing with the effective planning and negotiating of upcoming procurements requirements. You will work closely with our curriculum Heads of Area and other stakeholders to ensure efficient procurement practice. The role includes being involved in the implementation of procurement best practice, administering the procurement process and assisting in the control of the Group’s indirect and overhead cost reduction process.
About the person
As an ideal candidate for this position, you will have at least two years of experience within a buyer role and be able to adhere to deadlines. Working within Finance, you will have a strong attention to detail and high analytical skills. It is desirable that you have a relevant CIPS qualification at a minimum of level two and have the knowledge and experience of working within a Finance department; however, this is not essential.
