Position: Associate Director of Clinical Services (Interim 12 Months) Location: Birmingham Salary: £53,000 - £59,000 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week Vacancy Type: Fixed Term - Full Time About the Role: Are you passionate about providing high-quality care and driving continuous improvement in clinical services? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading mental health service provider as an Associate Director of Clinical Services on an interim basis. As the Associate Director of Clinical Services, you will be part of the Hospital Senior Management Team, contributing to ensuring quality indicators, care standards, and regulatory requirements are fully satisfied. You will have overall responsibility for setting performance and quality standards, reviewing existing processes, and leading quality initiatives across the hospital’s wards. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver the Hospital Quality strategy. Provide clinical leadership and support for regulatory inspections. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and quality standards. Lead the implementation and maintenance of clinical governance. Facilitate the delivery of the Governance agenda and embed learning. Provide advice on quality governance issues and promote high standards of care. Lead investigations and reviews, including serious incidents and complaints. Support patient and staff safety culture and promote learning from incidents. Develop relationships with external agencies and regulatory bodies. Monitor patient experience and support changes to practice. Prepare the site for regulatory inspections and internal bench-marking. Support contractual compliance and provide quality reports to commissioners. Lead on the site quality improvement plan. Line management of the Quality Administrator. Qualifications and Experience: Registered with either NMC or HCPC. Significant professional development in quality, audit, and risk management. Strong report writing skills and ability to present information clearly. Passionate about providing high-quality care and patient experience. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise and multi-task. Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills. Detail-oriented and proactive. Experience of leading and reviewing quality initiatives. Experience of project management and quality reporting. Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to handle ambiguity and multiple issues simultaneously. Forward-thinking and creative. Passionate about continuous improvement.
