GSL Education are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a Child Development Graduate to work in a supportive school in Scunthorpe. This role is perfect for someone looking to begin a career in education or child psychology, and who enjoys helping young people reach their full potential. As a Child Development Graduate, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help children in their learning and personal development. This includes working with children who may need extra help due to special educational needs, behaviour challenges, or emotional difficulties. Key Responsibilities: Support children in the classroom and during small group sessions. Help children understand their work and stay engaged in lessons. Assist with managing behaviour in a calm and positive way. Work closely with teaching staff to track progress and plan support. Build strong, trusting relationships with students. Follow safeguarding policies to keep children safe. What We’re Looking For: A degree in Child Development, Psychology, Education, or a related field. A caring and patient approach to working with children. A desire to make a positive impact in education. Good communication and teamwork skills. Experience working with children (in schools, youth groups, or voluntary settings) is desirable. A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection. An updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). Why Join GSL Education?
