The position is being offered by a Fine Dining Indian cuisine restaurant in Basingstoke/Fleet. Operated by two chef patrons, the gastronomic duo developed interest in cooking at an early age watching their mums cook and assisting during family gatherings and festivals. They tuned their passion into business and created an establishment which isa truly inclusive restaurant for dietary preferences, ethical food choices, cultural tastes and health needs. Ithas a menu reflecting the very best of South Indian cuisine, taken from all five states of South India withan attempt to transform the perception and experience of Indian cuisine in the UK. They essentially serve street food style South Indian food containing vital ingredients and nutritional qualities that make it as healthy as an Indian restaurant can be.

* Position :Specialist Chef De Partie - South Indian
* Employer :Fine Dining Indian Restaurant
* Location: Basingstoke/Fleet
* Gross OTE salary package : £29,000 to £32,000
* Weekly working hours / days48 hours /5 days

Your role involves skilful preparation of complex South Indian dishes and specialties specific to the regional theme of the establishment and its menus. You will be responsible for a series of kitchen operational duties commensurate with job role, and also be engaged in training and supervising of Commi Chefs and other junior kitchen staff
To qualify for selection you must have the following minimum requirements: -
* Eligibility to live and work in UK
* Experience in the preparation of authentic high quality South Indian dishes & Specialties
* Technical knowledge of ingredient quality, sourcing, measuring & formulation
* Industrial training in a world renowned culinary/hospitality institute
* Previous experience of at least 3 years in this role + min 3 years of prior experience in escalating job roles
* Relevant Health & Safety credentials and knowledge of HACCP protocols
* Resident within commutable distance of up to one hour
