To be able to operate Loading Shovel, as directed by Site Management, to which they are certificated in safe and proper manner To be able to operate mobile and static plant in a safe and proper manner. To undertake general maintenance works as required by Heidelberg Materials. To undertake other duties within their scope in accordance with Site Management recommendations. To maintain the mobile and static equipment in a good order physically and with re-fuelling, greasing, cleaning in accordance with the manufacturers and Heidelberg Materials recommendations. To ensure all plant is operated as economically as possible. To complete daily inspection sheets of the conditions of mobile plant. To report problems or defects of mobile plant to the Production Supervisor. To complete near miss reports as required by Site Management. Experience To be able to operate mobile plant as required. To adhere to the company health & safety policy. To adhere to the Quarry Regulations 1999. To adhere to Company Environmental Policy. The role holder is expected: To comply with all aspects of the Heidelberg Materials Compliance Policy. To ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way so as to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place. To comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation. To proactively manage health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company's health & safety performance. To update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required. To comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company. Good general education required as a large amount of health and safety regulations and Quarry Regulations are required to be understood and carried out. Certification by EPIC to operate mobile plant. NVQ level 2 in mobile plant operations required following EPIC completion.
