Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for a new Director of MIS and Funding to join our Senior Leadership Team, leading the MIS, reporting and exams teams. This is a great opportunity to hold a senior position within DCG and have a lasting impact on the performance of the Group through enhancing the business intelligence processes and being the lead expert on funding. This role will primarily be based at our modern office space at the Ilkeston Campus with hybrid working, and travel between campuses when required. The Opportunity
Within this high-profile role, you’ll provide inspirational leadership to 3 direct reports and over 30 employees across the MIS, reporting and exams teams. You’ll be responsible for funding compliance, returns and audits for the Group’s £52million funding, and will drive improvements to deliver innovative reporting solutions, robust information systems and streamline business processes. It is an exciting time to join us in this role as you’ll be leading on the development and implementation of the College’s digital reporting strategy in collaboration with the Director of IT.
To be successful in this role you’ll build strong working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders; collaborating to ensure the curriculum strategy optimises funding and maximises outcomes for students. You’ll also be working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Curriculum Management Teams.
About you
To be successful in this role you’ll have strong technical knowledge and experience in development of BI/reporting solutions for a range of stakeholders including Governors, Senior Managers and Curriculum teams. We’re looking for an experienced and innovative leader who is adept at change management and inspiring teams to drive excellent performance. It is also essential that you have experience as the lead for MIS/Funding for a complex, multi-site FE organisation.
