Description As a Senior Chemist at Kerakoll, you will be focused on researching and developing new products in line with our portfolio pipeline, innovative usage of raw materials, researching competitor landscape and supporting the reformulation of our existing portfolio to further enhance customer value, quality & sustainability. Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will work independently on complex R&D projects and work in collaboration with other R&D team members, Product Marketing & the wider laboratory team to successfully deliver R&D projects on time, in full and on budget. What You’ll Be Doing at Kerakoll Collaborating with your Research & Development team members and our Product Marketing teams to develop new innovative products and reformulate existing products in line with our portfolio roadmap and ESG agenda, aligning on project scope, success measures, results and application tests; Undertaking physical and chemical analyses required for the assigned projects or laboratory tests; Planning periodic characterisation activities on products, to check the trends and plan possible improvement actions; Interacting with external suppliers for developments related to specific projects and for raw material sampling; Working closely with our Quality Control department in the description of the necessary documentation for checking finished products and raw material, for raw material rationalisation, recycling management and products industrialisations; Collaborating with our Quality Control department in the description of the necessary documentation for checking finished products and raw material, for raw material rationalisation, recycling management and products industrialisations; Engaging with the wider global R&D team to share best practice, learnings and to participate in global R&D projects. Following the: product certification process, conducting tests required and completing documentation & life cycle of the products, including follow-ups, performances monitoring and potential corrective actions required. What You’ll Bring to Kerakoll Technical knowledge & experience within a similar industry. A degree or similar qualification in chemistry with good understanding and experience of polymer chemistry. Passion for innovation & sustainability with a natural curiously to identify or evolve the chemical components of a product to enhance performance, quality and durability. Advocacy for continuous improvement and change, always looking to find a better and more sustainable way for our processes, our methods and our products. Strong analysis skills with the ability to translate research and data into actionable insights and recommendations at an appropriate level for different audiences. Excellent project management skills with an ability to work independently, managing your time and targets effectively. Equally comfortable working as part of a small, high performing team collaborating cross functionally to successfully deliver R&D projects. Effective relationship builder & communicator with a proven ability to create and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Tech-Savvy, comfortable using project management software, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
