Are you passionate about driving safety and compliance standards to protect vulnerable communities? If so my client is looking for a Health and Safety Compliance Administrator / Officer to support their Tenancy Management team. You will be managing data and coordinating the certification and performance standards required for temporary accommodation providers.
Please note this role does not involve being out on site conducting inspections. You will be managing the compliance and certification of around 2000 properties, and this will be an office based role with eventual hybrid working.
You will need to be in the office everyday for the first 2 weeks and then will move to hybrid work (2 days in the office).
The Role
·Take ownership of the compliance framework, ensuring all temporary accommodations adhere to required safety standards and certification.
·Oversee the coordination, control, and verification of compliance certifications, including Gas Safety, Electrical, and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) for various types of temporary accommodations such as Nightly Paid, Private Sector Leased (PSL), and Private Managed Accommodation (PMA).
·Ensure temporary accommodation providers meet or exceed health and safety standards, working closely with landlords and service providers to guarantee compliance with council property standards.
·Oversee compliance checks for all HAP properties, ensuring timely completion of relevant certifications and documentation.
The Ideal Candidate
·Proficiency with MS Excel is essential for the role
·Data Management background is highly desirable
·Experience in compliance and safety within social housing, property management, or similar environments is desirable
·Understanding of compliance certifications, particularly in areas such as gas and electrical safety, and experience verifying these certifications.
·Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple certification processes across a range of property types.
·Experience in working with temporary accommodation providers, managing their performance, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
·Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working alongside landlords, providers, and council teams to maintain the highest levels of compliance and safety for our residents.
