Key Job Responsibilities
1. Maintain and follow strict confidentiality as customer privacy is our biggest tenet.
2. Work with various types of data, including text, speech, image, and video.
3. Deliver high-quality labelled data, using guidelines provided to meet our KPIs and using in-house tools and software.
4. Assume the role of a subject matter expert for Machine Learning (ML) data workflows.
5. Demonstrate proficiency in researching, creating factually and grammatically correct responses, and annotating text, speech, image, and video.
6. Make logical decisions while performing tasks even when provided information is ambiguous.
7. Display an eye for detail and the ability to pivot from one category of requirement to another instantaneously.
8. Support daily operational deliverables like AHT, quality, and TAT for multiple task types assigned to you and the team.
9. Handle the end-to-end data execution process related to labelling tasks with minimal dependence on work instructions.
10. Contribute to root cause analysis, identify error patterns, and propose solutions to improve the quality of labelling tasks.
11. Identify day-to-day process and operational issues in SOP and tools, suggesting changes to unblock operations.
12. Demonstrate ownership in floor support to clarify internal queries during execution as needed.
A Day in the Life
We are looking for an ML Data Associate (MLDA) to undertake foundational labeling functions, such as dialogue evaluation on speech, text, audio, and video data, to assess and improve Alexa’s performance in everyday situations. Your ability to concentrate, multi-task, and maintain high attention to detail helps you deliver high-quality work while following all applicable Amazon policies for securing confidential information. You will be part of a diverse team with a shared vision to make significant strides in technology and the use of Artificial Intelligence.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Fluent proficiency in English language, including grammar and spelling (both written and verbal).
2. Comfortable working with speech from various dialects and accents of English.
3. High School or equivalent diploma.
4. 2+ years of professional work experience with demonstrated task execution ability.
5. Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, with good typing speed (> 50 wpm).
6. Ability to effectively write and evaluate diverse subject matter across various domains.
7. Proven capacity to leverage open-source resources effectively for comprehensive research purposes.
8. Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
9. A sense of ownership and drive, along with a willingness to accept daily deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
2. Familiarity with content management may be beneficial.
3. Exposure to US culture/communication; prior experience in the Machine Learning domain is an advantage.
4. Ability to work across multiple teams and multi-task on programs.
