About the role
The Institute of Health Informatics is looking to appoint a Senior Research Fellow in Human Genetics to join our welcoming and vibrant Institute. This position presents a unique opportunity to join a team of experienced health data scientists, informaticians, statisticians, and clinical epidemiologists and contribute significantly to the statistical analysis and subsequent presentation of results from large-scale national and rich local health record data resources.
The Senior Research Fellow will carry out data management tasks to prepare data for analyses, including data extractions and data quality assurance, as well as prepare research reports and present findings at meetings with the funder.

The post is full-time ( hours per week) and funded until 30 April; further funding may become available.
About you

The Senior Research Fellow must have a PhD or relevant experience, as well as excellent programming and data visualization skills in Python and R. The role holder will have experience in working with large-scale genetics datasets, including processing and analysis of sequence and/or array genotyping data.
