The Strategy & Regulation are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. Where you fit in: As our Demand Forecaster you will support the Water Resources Planning Manager in delivering our long-term Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) and Water Resources North (WREN) regional plan. The role will be responsible for producing long-term demand forecasts for the WRMP, and the Ofwat price review. It will include production of demand components through gathering base data, data analysis and applying defined best practice approaches to forecast future demand for water supply and produce multiple long-term demand scenarios. The role will require working across the business to gather data and to ensure other parts of the business are engaged in the demand forecast development and assumptions. What skills & qualifications you will need: Degree in a relevant subject area Strong analytical and problem solving skills Attention to detail and ability to input data and maintain accuracy Ability to document procedures and verbally explain to others Ability to manage own workload and progress tasks simultaneously Effective communication skills, to work effectively with internal teams and liaise with external colleagues and regulators Proficiency in MS Excel and Word You will also benefit from having: Understanding of the water industry regulatory frameworks Water resource planning experience Experience of developing demand forecasting models and the use of statistical methods.
