Role overview:
As an Assistant Developer in TfN’s Transport Appraisal, Modelling and Economics (TAME) team, you will assist the development and maintenance of TfN’s web products, including supporting the development and maintenance of our website, and development and deployment of our visualisation dashboards.
Practically, you will be required to deliver scripts, software, web services and web development, facilitating the provision of data, analytics and assurance services.
This role represents a unique opportunity to be involved in the development of scalable, publicly visible technical products; including the TfN website, which is one of the principal ways we engage with our partners, stakeholders, and the public.
What we’re looking for:
An enthusiastic developer who will learn a range of systems and support the development of web products.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable knowledge and familiarity with development of static and dynamic web service front-ends, such as visualisations backed by complex datasets, static webpages and interactive GIS models, with understanding of web-centric languages.
Candidates must possess a highly numerate degree or possess equivalent experience.
