Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Settlements Analyst based in London .
Main responsibilities within the Settlements Analyst position include:
* Responsible for the settlement of Fixed Income Products.
* Main Settlement Markets include France, Germany and Euroclear but will be expected to manage other T2S settlement locations.
* Identifying and resolving trade matching exceptions, this may require direct contact with front office brokers, client personnel and settlement agents.
* Securities holding management – ensure, where necessary, partial settlement is offered to minimise the risk on daily overdrafts impacting liquidity at settlement agents.
* Fails management – ensure any failing trades are followed up with relevant parties and brought to the attention of an appropriate escalation contact.
* Carrying out BUY-INs where necessary, understanding the regulation BUY-IN rules, example FINRA and ICMA.
* Monitoring the group inbox.
* Setting up Fixed Income products, new clients, new desks and brokers within the in house system.
Key skills, experience and competencies required in this role:
* Fixed Income product knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
* Experience within an Operations team.
* Understanding of settlement deadlines across all markets that are relevant.
* The ability to solve problems and be a lateral thinker.
* Excellent communicator.
* Ability to adapt to changing situations
* Able to work under pressure and meeting multiple deadlines.
* Understanding settlement disciplines as part of CSDR.
* Experience of Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Outlook.
