Closing Date for Application: Thursday 10/10/2024 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract ADEY, the market leader in the provision of residential water treatment products for closed loop heating and cooling systems in the UK, is looking for a CAD Technician to join the team. The Role The CAD Technician is responsible for uploading models and drawings to PDM system, maintaining a good understanding of PDM system implementatio n, CAD administration (non - design work), including updat ing drawing packs through ECRs. The CAD Technician is also r esponsib le for drawing office ECRs and providing regular updates, and t aking a pro - active approach when dealing with sometimes complex ECRs. Responsibilities Uploading models and drawings to PDM system. Having a good understanding of PDM system implementation. Producing t echnical illustrations for step by step I&S guides. CAD administrator ( non - design work ) updates to drawings packs through ECRs. Managing drawing office ECRs, ensuring processes are followed. Produce 2D drawings. Build assembly models on CAD. Ability to simplify 3D models. Provide ECR updates and take a pro - active approach when dealing with sometimes complex ECRs. Responsible for time management of own workload. The Person The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: Solidworks PDM systems – Experience and implementation ECR processes. Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD systems. Ability to generate 2d drawing s. A keen eye for detail and presentation. Microsoft packages. Written and oral c ommunication skills. Desired but non essential experience in the following areas: High - end rendered CAD imagery for marketing (brochures, pop - up banners for exhibitions, videos etc). Creating visuals for concept approval of new ideas. Producing technical graphs. Support with technical reports/test procedures/templates and policy documents. File and maintain non - electronic copies of technical documents including Certificates, approvals and ASME/EN/BS standards. Essential Experience: Previous experience in a similar role. K nowledge of ECR processes. Experience working with Solidworks PDM systems. Ability to manage multiple projects. Use of Solidworks 3D CAD or equivalent. A level /BTEC or equivalent in Engineering or similar subject. Drives results and continuous improvement.
