The Land & Maritime Transport team works closely with multiple strategic partners delivering large programmes. Through the SR period 2022-2025 the team will deliver £690 of R&D funding playing a vital role with the UK’s mobility funding ecosystem. The team has a longstanding relationship with the Department for Transport and deliver a number of large R&D programmes, including on maritime. Job Purpose: The role holder will work with colleagues in the Land and Maritime Transport team to support the delivery of the DfT UK SHORE programme during 2025/26. 2025/26 is a critical year in the delivery of the programme which has been running since 2022, investing £206m of funding into future maritime technologies around the UK. The role will primarily focus on the delivery of major projects under the CMDC and ZEVI programmes, alongside other duties related to the whole programme. Alongside a significant inflight portfolio of projects, during 25/26 there is anticipated to be further work around supporting the new business case for UK SHORE as part of the Spending Review, led by DfT. Innovate UK is expected to remain a key delivery partner in any future programme. The role holder will work primarily with current funded projects, DfT policy teams and key stakeholders to support a range of flagship UK SHORE projects inflight and due to complete in 25/26. Multi-year clean maritime demonstration competition - GOV.UK Zero Emission Vessels and Infrastructure (ZEVI) competition winners - GOV.UK Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Support the final delivery of live CMDC projects in 25/26, including their final demonstration activities and project close down/final claims Support the delivery of the flagship ZEVI projects as they commence their 3 year demonstration periods from 1st April 2025 Work with teams across Innovate UK to ensure the smooth delivery of the programme and current project close down activities Provide updates to DFT via Programme Boards and the agreed Programme Governance Work with stakeholders across the UK Maritime sector to promote and support the dissemination of results from the projects Build strategic relationships internally and externally with relevant organisations including where relevant with the Department for Business & Trade (DBT), Department for Transport (DfT), the National Shipbuilding Office and our strategic partners Innovate UK Business Connect and Catapults Support other UK SHORE activities, such as CMDC6 and planning and business case writing for Spending Review Phase 2 Support the develop appropriate international links to realise maximum potential from international engagement and global markets.
