Overview
We are looking for a First Line Manager to join our team in Northampton. You will manage, direct, control and monitor the work and performance of all warehouse operatives on shift, to ensure completion of daily functions, fully, safely and accurately. At all times the First Line Manager must be aware of and comply with company values, policies and procedures.
Shifts are 5 from 7 and 06:00 to 14:00
How you will contribute?
1. On a daily shift basis direct, monitor and communicate with your team on their performance of their allocated duties to achieve productivity, accuracy and customer SLA adherence.
2. Demonstrate the company values and lead by example.
3. Monitor shift and team performance through tools provided.
4. You will strive to ensure a best in class HSE performance is achieved and that the site operates in line with all company and customer procedures and requirements relating to Health and Safety.
5. Adherence to operational process (SOP) and identify training requirements for your teams.
6. You will drive a continuous improvement programme, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and process improvement.
7. Liaise with other departments to ensure that aims and objectives are met (Warehouse, Stock & Admin, Customer Service, etc.).
8. Identify training needs and take appropriate action to address these in line with individual and operational requirements.
9. Conduct Probation, Inductions, 1-1's and appraisals.
10. Conduct disciplinary investigations and disciplinary interviews.
11. Embrace the introduction of new procedures and new equipment technology.

1. Proven experience in leading and managing a small team.
2. Understanding of volume planning.
3. WMS experience.
4. Act as a member of a flexible team and foster good working relationships.
5. Consistent and considered in approach.
6. Positive attitude when dealing with challenges & change.
7. Forward thinking and planning skills.
8. Team orientated.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
10. Drives for continuous improvement.

12. PC literate, Excel & Word preferred.
