Responsibilities
Supervise a team of warehouse personnel to ensure the provision of professional incoming goods, storage, and dispatch service to customers. Ensure all warehouse rules and procedures are adhered to.
1. Supervise and lead all warehouse staff under your control (refer to AGL Warehouse Organogram).
2. Plan daily and weekly meetings with senior management.
3. Have daily meetings with your warehouse teams.
4. Ensure warehouse staff adheres to rules and procedures as published and instructed by manager.
5. Plan and co-ordinate the activities with all participants, i.e., Incoming goods, storage, and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner.
6. Plan, optimise and allocate resources available.
7. Control casual working staff.
8. Ensure stacking and storage procedures are adhered to as per document management system.
9. Ensure weekly stock takes are done.
10. Maintain the company's Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the warehouse and yard.
11. Be the key communication link between the Admin and Warehousing team.
12. Monitor a physical cycle count on a weekly, monthly basis and a wall-to-wall physical stock take on a quarterly basis.
13. Monitor a monthly dashboard for KPIs.
14. Ensure that all tasks are completed operationally and on the system at the close of business.
15. Ensure that all inbound/outbound documents are properly signed, AGL stamped and dated with time.
16. Notify the admin/client by email if expected qty is different from actual qty received.
17. Make sure all trucks are checked against the AGL tracking report before offloading.
18. Report all incidents, incident report must be completed on the same shift and submitted.
19. Organize and validate physical stock takes.
20. Validate all documents for the shift and sign it off.
21. Ensure dispatch SOP is followed.
22. Must be on shift 15 minutes before start time to prep for staff briefing/plan for the shift.
23. Conduct toolbox talks.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
1. Grade 12
2. 5 years' experience in warehouse operations
3. Computer Literate in Excel, Word, and Outlook
4. Must have at least 3 years' experience on WMS System
