Maintenance Supervisor
Near Maidstone, Kent - Onsite (Full-time, Permanent) 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.

ROLE
Job Purpose
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising all Engineering and Facility activities across the site through a mixture of hands-on and delegatory means. You will be a mentor and coach for the team and provide leadership and direction in all activities whilst providing a strong support service for all departments. You should expect to work closely with the Health & Safety representative to manage all legal compliance duties. You will liaise with the Operations and General Manager regarding on-site development and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Efficiently supervise and provide support to the team of technicians on any technical matters.
2. Improve service delivery performance and reduce costs where possible.
3. Monitor and report on KPIs for the department.
4. Undertake engineer audits for machinery where necessary.
5. Deliver Tool Box Talks.
6. Manage all aspects of engineering in relation to all works, from planning to completion.
7. Develop practices, routines, and solutions to help improve productivity and product quality.
8. Perform risk assessments.
9. Take ownership of the site T-card reporting system for maintenance and breakdown reports and delegate tasks to the team.
10. Implement the New FIXX system within engineering and on the site.
11. Develop new health and safety policy procedures in line with existing rules and regulations.
12. Support and conduct in-house training sessions to teach employees about best practices and safe systems of work.
13. Keep records up to date.
14. Be actively involved in continuous improvements as needed and guided by the Operations or General Manager.
15. Ensure food hygiene and food safety standards are upheld at all times.
16. Any other tasks as requested by the Operations or General Manager.

CANDIDATE
* Formal engineering qualification.
* Electrical and mechanical installation experience required.
* Good understanding of health and safety practices; champions this across the site and looks out for others. IOSH or higher.
* Good hydraulic knowledge.
* Good pneumatic knowledge.
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience of incident investigation and report writing.
* Experience of written risk assessments.
* Experience of inspection and audit.
* Ability to deliver effective training.
* Ability to work quickly and under pressure to achieve results in a timely and efficient manner.
* Willing team player.
* Self-motivated and keen attitude to do more than expected and deliver excellent standards.
* Strong ability to motivate others.
* Ability to build both internal and external relationships at all levels.
