Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with food preparation and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly. Duties
* Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
* Help with food safety practices by ensuring that all food items are stored correctly and within health regulations.
* Support the catering team during events by preparing food items and assisting with service as needed.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
* Participate in inventory management by helping to track supplies and report shortages to management.
Skills
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is crucial.
* Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
