We are looking for Systems Engineers with experience of core Systems Engineering activities across the whole life cycle. You will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of EO Seekers & Sensors, working closely with specialist teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery. From specification and assessment to cutting-edge R&D, you will play a key role in advancing next-generation capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Develop and manage system requirements, ensuring clear justification and traceability.
* Design and evaluate system architectures to support advanced technologies.
* Conduct trade studies to assess design options and optimise system performance.
* Lead system testing, validation, and certification to ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to drive technical solutions.
* Support research and development initiatives to advance future capabilities.
* Oversee engineering work packages, ensuring efficient coordination and project delivery.
Skills & Experience
* Expertise in systems engineering, including requirements analysis and specification development.
* Experience in designing and modelling complex system architectures.
* Ability to conduct trade studies to inform design decisions.
* Knowledge of system verification, validation, and certification processes.
* Proficiency with systems engineering tools (e.g., IBM DOORS Next, Rhapsody).
* Experience managing engineering work packages and coordinating teams.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including with customers and suppliers.
