Job overview
The post holder will have experience of clinical practice within the urgent care setting, preferably with prior experience of community-based urgent care services. The post holder will agree on a plan of care collaboratively with service users and their carers. The post holder will always follow agreed practice guidelines and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder should be committed to the delivery of high-quality mental health services and contribute to ongoing service development.
The post holder will be expected to cover night duties, on a rotational basis, and weekend working is required at times.
Main duties of the job
* The post holder will work as part of the urgent care team and may be asked to work in other areas of urgent care such as A & E Liaison.
* The post holder will be expected to work shift patterns across a 24-hour period, including weekends.
* The post holder will be expected to contribute to the development of urgent care services.
* The post holder will follow safeguarding policies and protocols for children and vulnerable adults and share relevant information with other agencies as appropriate.
* The post holder will be aware of and act within the requirements of the Mental Health Act (1983), and other relevant legislation at all times.
* The post holder will participate in team meetings and activities as directed by senior staff.
* The post holder will work effectively with Urgent Care and Trust colleagues.

* 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.
Person specification
* Must be registered with NMC, Sub Part 1 Mental Health or equivalent Professional body.
* Experience of risk assessment and risk management.
* Experience of working within a mental health and home treatment service.
Desirable
* Aware of community and inpatient care pathways.
