Description About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Contractor Supervisor to join our Empty Homes and Repairs team covering Lancaster & Morecombe on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing an area-based team to ensure that all works are delivered safely, to a high standard and within agreed timescales. Please note - this role will be subject to undertaking call out duties on a rota (1 week in 4) paid at £525 per week. Key Responsibilities: Manage contractors to ensure that all works are delivered safely, to a quality standard, within agreed timescales and all objectives are met. Deliver high standards of work, relevant to the primary trade required for this role. Carry out pre, post and intermediate site inspection visits. Undertake quality checks on completed work, or work in progress. Carry out associated secondary trade activities within acceptable quality standards to ensure a first time fix. Support the Service Manager by providing updates on progress, issues and of any approved variations to the schedule. Manage & monitor operative productivity & quality within the team. Ensure SOR and any variation to initial scope information is accurately reflected in the Kirona / Accuserve systems. Ensure that the team adhere to H&S process and actions identified in risk assessments are appropriately prioritised and completed, with the relevant systems updated. Manage and control Guinness’s assets in line with legislation and company guidelines. Ensure that investigation and responses to complaints and quality concerns are completed in a timely manner. Support the protection and safety of our customers by ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed. You’ll also be able to demonstrate the below Essential Skills: Competence within plumbing and carpentry trades. Various secondary trade skills and experience outside of primary trade. Ability to make decisions and solve problems seeking any advice required. Experience of working in a customer focused environment within agreed performance targets. Ability to correctly complete the relevant certifications, reports or other documentation. Recognised competency in Carpentry or Plumbing. Ability to accurately interpret technical data and instructions. Good understanding of H&S within the built environment. Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate organisational and team management skills. Full UK driving licence Essential Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification. Desirable Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ in Site Supervision.
