A vacancy has arisen to work within Children and Young People's Services as a receptionist in our Park Lane Clinic, Workington.
The post holder will provide a proactive, comprehensive administration and reception service which will include welcoming young people and families/carers to the clinic, handling telephone enquiries, actioning email requests, data entry, dealing with incoming/outgoing post and other general office duties. A high level of organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required along with good IT skills. Experience in a similar role would be an advantage. This position offers excellent opportunities to develop your administrative skills within the NHS.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will be working alongside a team of Administrators, Administration Team Lead, Team Managers, and Clinical Managers with allocated duties to support the administration function for this team. A good knowledge of Microsoft packages and typing qualifications are essential for this role.

* A good understanding of the RIO system (not essential as training will be given to those who have not worked on this system before)
* A good knowledge of Microsoft Word/Office packages

The post holder will also undertake additional duties as directed by the Admin Team Lead.

Education and Qualifications
* General Level of Education to O-Level/GCSE or equivalent
* Word-processing skills at level 2 (OCR/RSA Level 2 or the equivalent)
* NVQ Level 2 or QCF Level 2 in Customer Service (or equivalent)
* NVQ Level 2 or QCF Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
Knowledge and Experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including use of email
* Ability to maintain and update Patient information systems (e.g., RiO)
* Knowledge of NHS policies and procedures
* Recent experience of working in an NHS or similar environment
