Job Title: Material Coordinator
Job Description
The Material Coordinator handles aluminum extrusions and other inventory used in commercial buildings. Individuals in this material handling position work as part of a team to ensure material is received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped to clients accurately per schedule. They will grab material out of semi-trucks/loading trucks. A lot of products will get moved with a forklift. Once on the racks, they will move the material to different locations depending on the work order. They will complete around 100 work orders a day as a team.
Responsibilities
1. Handle aluminum extrusions and other inventory used in commercial buildings.
2. Receive, store, pick, pack, and ship materials to clients accurately per schedule.
3. Move products using a forklift.
4. Relocate materials to different locations based on work orders.
5. Execute approximately 100 work orders a day as a team.
6. Perform basic math, reading, and computer tasks.
7. Communicate effectively with team members.
8. Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. from the ground and above your head.
9. Stand for 8-12 hours.
10. Work in a fast-paced environment.
11. Use scanners and barcoding devices as required.
12. Contribute to a safe and enjoyable work environment.
13. Maintain excellent attendance and performance records.
14. Work independently or as part of a team.
15. Work quickly and accurately.
16. Follow work orders to determine proper rack placement for materials.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1. Forklift training will be provided.
2. Experience in material handling, production, warehouse packing, inventory, and shipping.
3. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
