Casual Academy Therapist – Girls’ & Women’s Programme

What is the role?
Working within the Girl’s and Women’s medical team, you will be providing a therapy and injury prevention service for our players to promote their health and wellbeing and maximise their performance. This will include facilitating the best methods of injury prevention, care, and advice to minimise recovery time during injury.
What will you be doing?
You will be providing constructive assessment and treatments to all players and monitoring all injured players. This includes pitch side assessment, first aid and pitch side medical cover whilst collecting and maintaining confidential clinical data collection. You will also need to liaise with the club doctors regarding player injuries.
You will be required to demonstrate interaction with the academy medical team to provide a holistic approach towards injury management. This will encompass liaising with coaching, sport science, and psychology staff. You will also be required to ensure the management of injuries effectively meets accurate documentation requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience
* CSP/HCPC/SST registered
* BSC (Hons) Physiotherapy/ Sports Therapy / Sports Rehab
* Level 4 ITMIFF or willing to complete the course in the first 12 months of employment
* UKAD Clean Sport Advisor
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Previous experience working as a therapist in an Academy or high-performance setting
* Experience of working within youth football
* Experience of working with elite female athletes
